Womanhood is both beautiful and inescapably demanding. Our bodies are a site of identity and also constant scrutiny, distortion, and change. Societal standards for women are terrifyingly high, unrealistic, and impossbily unachievable.
In this project I am presenting my research throughout a full semester in preparation for my senior thesis exhibition. I explored a visual identity and experimented with materials such as painting and fabrics. I will be crafting a magazine to be a vessel of these ideas and curating a space for a magazine pop-up event.
